Cedar Ridge Preserve Hike
On Sunday, March 7, the Philmont Crew will be hiking at the Cedar Ridge Preserve. We will be doing 5 to 6 miles. The crew is extending an invitation to any Scouts needing to complete their 5-mile hike with map and compass.
To join us, meet us at the Scout House at 1:15 PM on Sunday, March 7. Note we may need a willing driver or two. Maps to the Cedar Ridge Preserve are attached and you may prefer to meet us there about 2:15.
Wear sturdy shoes, prepare for mud, rain, etc. Water bottle is absolutely required, and trail snack is recommended. You will also need a compass! We can arrange for one if you need it.
We expect to return to the Scout House about 6:00 or 6:30 PM.

Congratulations and thank you to those who have been elected or appointed to leadership positions for the next six month term. There are lots of new faces on the leadership team. Remember, Troop Leadership Training is August 28.
Next up on the camping calendar is our third-annual canoeing / rock climbing / tower climbing campout at Sid Richardson Scout Ranch on Lake Bridgeport. Included again this year is the Iron Chef Challenge! Can't think of a better way to spend Labor Day weekend.
Also, we will be supporting our Cub Scout Pack 1020 with some assistance at Join Scouting Nights. Contact Gary Pittmann for details and/or check out the calendar and announcements page on the web site.
